Sparkly Denim Purse

I made this purse as a Christmas gift for my sister. I used a sparkly denim fabric with a satin lining.

This is a tree skirt I made with matching stockings.

I used a quilting design from Simplicity. This was my first quilting project and believe you me, it was a pain in the butt. It didn't help that I decided to do layers on the white material so it has a sheer fabric on top that has little sparkly snowflakes. I'm new to sewing so please don't be afraid to comment and offer any advice or suggestions you have. I really didn't know what I was doing with the satin edging but I guess it'll do.
